Great North Run 2010

In spite of torrential rain for much of the day, we had a fantastic turn-out at the Farplace tent. The folks from Lush excelled themselves with their foot massage services for our runners, and we would like to say a huge thank you to them all. Many of our runners told us how grateful they were.

Here’s what some of our runners had to say on the day:

Jean Fish and Neil: “Absolutely Brilliant! Worth Every Second!”

Martyn Coyne: “Thanks for all the support from Farplace. Very enjoyable!”

Tom Ness: “This is the Number 1 half marathon! Fantastic!”

Adam and Sophie Chippendall: “Could have done with 4 legs each!”

Lawrence Chiswell: “Never go clubbing the night before a marathon!”

Lucy Hirst: Very very hard. Tough Challenge – but would do it again!”

Ian Vickers and Jackie Webb: “Too many holidays, too close to the Run!”

Gavin Padbury: “Feels great to do such a hard run for such a good cause!”

Edward James: “Great Experience!”

Gavin Edwards: “Hard work, but worth every minute!”

Alex Ingham: “Great fun – will definitely do it again!”

Stephie Brice and Natalie: “It was great!”

Anneli Ferrier: “My 2nd time doing the GNR. Great to run for a local charity and supporting the animals in a difficult year. The Lush massage was worth it’s weight in gold!”

Photos of some of our super-stars are in the rotating gallery below. If you don’t feature here and would like to, please send a photo to Jan at jan@farplace.org.uk.

Once again, very many thanks! Hope to see you all next year.
